The eyelashes are good. The grass in back and front are really good and the color - I like it as it is. Las but not least: You did a great job.
I hope my critique is helpful
One thing that I really like about this picture is the eyes; they have a deep, hidden beauty to them that you can see as soon as you look into them, and I'm a fan of how you've made them have a sort of doll-like appearance with the highlighting as well as the overly rounded shape. The eyelashes are good too, because they're not too heavy so they divert too much attention away nor are they so light that you can hardly see them. I also love what you did with the grass too, because it looks very realistic both with the colours that you've used, as well as the way that you've drawn it in.
Something that you could work on though, is perhaps adding some solid black outlines of varying thicknesses on her so as to make her pop even more - I've found that on her onesie especially a lot of the lines blend in with one another, so I feel that if you did that it would make certain bits stand out just a touch more. And another thing is to do with shading - you've done a good job with it, but to add further emphasis I would definitely recommend putting some deeper gradients in too. Such as around her breasts, and around her midsection.
But with all of that being said, I think that you've done well with this picture in a general sense.
Hi! I am from Project Comment
There are a lot of things I really like about the drawing, but the two that stand out the most to me are the eyes and the lips. The eyes have a lot of detail and look very beautiful. I think lips are hard to draw and you did a great job on those as well. I also love the time and detail you put into the piece, such as having her be more crisp and focused and the background be more blurry.
One thing I see that I think could be improved is her back right leg seems a little too short for her pose based on the rest of her body. Her front leg goes out further to the left than the right leg, but if you look at a reference photo of a girl sitting on her knees facing the left, the back right leg extends further to the left than the front leg.
Here is an example picture of what I mean. You can look at the legs and see.
I hope that explanation made sense and I hope it was helpful!
Great job! She is so adorable :3
part of it could be, because they're all doll-like and dolls eyes are very glassy kind of stare lifelessly at nothing in particular, im guilty of drawing my eyes like this sometimes too. When I was in colelge I drew a doll for one of my projects, but it's obvious i intended for her to be creepy as possible lmao vimeo.com/94317290 the 2nd art of the doll is at the start and the 3d model is at the end, presonally i think creepy is fun as hell !!!!
but I mean if you don't want that just try to make sure the detail in the rest of the character matches the eyes to avoid the creepy doll feel XD
About the clothes - the hood looks good but I don't think that a onesie would fit that perfectly around the chest and belly/hip area! The shading and highlighting looks very nice, but it almost looks a bit too perfect! Try to add a few wrinkles and make some parts a bit baggy, for example, in this picture the fabric would be a bit baggy around the belly since she's sitting down, and it would stretch around the hips and legs. Unless the clothes are supposed to be thight of course, what do I know haha! Anyways, I'm not very good at drawing clothes myself, but you just have to think about the physics - how do you think the fabric would fall in different areas? Also, you could try adding textures to the clothes to make it look more realistic!
